You get hand-crafted masters (no “set and forget” presets or AI algorithms here) for pop artists that want that major-label sound. Your songs will reach their full potential, be positioned to grow your audience, and be appealing for playlisters, sync licensing, and labels. All masters come with free revisions and free masters of the typical additional versions of the mix, so you won’t have to worry about additional fees driving the project out of your budget range.

STEP ONE
Gather Info and Upload Files
We’ll gather some basic information from you about your music, your vision, and your references. You will also be provided with resources to make sure your mix is ready-to-go for the best possible mastering outcome. Throughout this process, I’ll be available if you need to contact me for any additional questions or conversations about your project.
STEP TWO
Mastering the Main Mix
Once you upload the files, I get to work! Based on your vision, I will master the main mix of your song - taking something you’re already excited about and elevating it to its full potential. You’ll receive the main master for review, and you’re welcome to request any revisions to dial in your final vision. Once the main master is approved, we move on to the final step!
STEP THREE
Mastering the Alt Mixes and File Delivery
If needed, you will receive all of the typical alt versions of a mix for free. This includes the instrumental, TV mix, and a cappella mix. Once your final deliverables are ready, they will be uploaded for delivery at the full resolution you need for your distribution.

Hello, I’m Taylor Webb, the founder and mastering engineer at Chromatic Mastering.
After working on songs for major labels, major publishers, and countless indie artists - and after getting to work with some absolutely fantastic (and not-so-fantastic) mastering engineers - I set out to build the kind of mastering experience I always wished for.
Many artists now have frustrating experiences with unartistic AI mastering or hiring engineers that misrepresent their abilities. Others have hired great mastering engineers but still end up disappointed in how their song sounds - without someone to help them understand why it’s falling short of their vision.
I help artists by providing them with a master of a quality they could expect from big names in the industry - all at an all-inclusive package rate that helps them avoid piling on fees from needing revisions or alternate versions of their song.
I also help to educate throughout the process - answering questions and helping you understand the “why” behind what’s happening in mastering. This helps you craft songs with a greater ability to achieve your artistic vision.

Q. What’s your turnaround time?
While the exact time varies, I am almost always turning around masters within 1 week of receiving payment/files. When you submit your files, I’ll be able to give you a much more accurate estimate on turnaround time!
Q. How do you handle revisions?
I include unlimited revisions in the price of my mastering. I know it can be scary to think you’ll be paying one price for a project, and then start racking up extra fees if something requires extra attention. Honestly, most masters I send are approved on V1. I genuinely want you to be happy with your masters, and I will work with you through the revision process to make sure that happens.
Q. Do you charge for mastering alternate versions of the mix (instrumental, TV, A Cappella)?
No! I also include masters of the standard alternate versions of the mix in my flat rate. The standard alternates I deliver are an instrumental, TV version, an a capella version, and a clean version/radio edit (if one exists). This better equips you as an artist for radio promotion, sync licensing, and social media. You don’t have to get all of these versions for your song (most people just need an instrumental master), but I will take care of them for you if they’re helpful.
Q. For real, there are no extra fees I need to know about beyond the flat rate?
The only instances where I would charge beyond my basic flat rate for a master are:
- If a song is re-mixed/a new mix is sent over that changes so drastically that I have to start over mastering it from scratch
- If someone wants sequencing/DDP delivery for an album
- If someone wants masters specifically prepped for vinyl
Most people never need these things, but I do offer them if you need them.
